Mary-Alice's Commitment to Senior Wellness
Mary Alice has a lifelong connection to senior care. She earned her degree from UCLA and a master’s in public health from Boston University, then spent a decade in nonprofit senior healthcare management, gaining a deep understanding of aging in place and the financial realities families face.
In 2005, Mac transitioned into reverse lending and has since spent over 20 years helping retirees use their home equity to support independence, security, and quality of life. She is passionate about guiding clients and their families toward thoughtful solutions that truly make a difference.

Benefits of a Home Equity Conversion Mortgage
Dolores from San Francisco wanted to improve her home and enjoy more family companionship.
She used a reverse mortgage to replace appliances, install a new roof, and update part of her home so her nephew could comfortably live with her. The arrangement allows them both to maintain privacy while sharing the home.
Dolores first worked with Mary-Alice while her husband was alive. Ten years later she refinanced into a larger reverse mortgage. When her husband passed away and his Social Security income ended, the loan helped her remain in her San Francisco home.
“The cost of living was going up, but my income was going down.”

Creating a Financial Safety Net
Patricia from Sausalito did not need additional monthly income. She wanted a smart financial backup plan.
At the recommendation of her CPA, Patricia established a reverse mortgage line of credit based on strategies discussed by retirement researcher Dr. Wade Pfau. Instead of purchasing long-term care insurance, she chose to create access to her home equity so she could cover future care costs if needed.
With the rising price of in-home care, the line of credit provides a financial safety net that allows her to remain in her home if her needs change.
“The process with Mary-Alice was clear and straightforward from beginning to end.”
